Anyang Rainbow is a performance piece in which acrobatic artists in rainbow-colored tights a shape of a rainbow with several locations in Pyeongchon (including the Jungang Park, an ice link, an inline staking link, an artificial water fall) as the back. After the performance, photographs documenting the performance piece were showcased at a number of bus stops located on Pyeongchon-roShimin-ro. The artist who presents frank images of Korean society with his performances photographs, says that what defines Pyeongchon as a space is its features typical for a new town, such as straight motorways, broad pedestrian roads, tree-lined streets with relatively low pedestrian traffic, large scale public parks, manicured loans. With Anyang Rainbow, the artist tried to express hopesdreams of inhabitants for the new towntheir satisfaction with it by creating an artificial rainbow at a symbolic space of the city. The artist marked the photographs showcased at bus stops with the distinctive byline Anyang Rainbow, by Artist Oak Jungho to prevent audiences from mistaking the artworks for advertisements.
