Book Mandala unfolds Donkyoon HAHM’s thoughts on the sensation of the “poetic” through bookshelves, graphics, and videos. Three universes, which consist of the “Mandala of Truth,” a temple of books on sensation and perception; the “Room of Things and Moments” that presents texts on sensation and reason, and the “Tower of Poetry,” are solidly connected by more than 150 books. Graphic texts by collaborating artist Mano AN, engraved on the ceiling and floor, which position the bodies of visitors entering the Art Library, the APAP7’s public space, between the bookshelves and graphics, invite them to appreciate the poetry through their tactile senses, and find an existential illumination within it.
