The APAP7 curatorial team has continued to investigate questions around the uncertain identity of the creator of the relief sculpture in the Main Building of the Former Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, which serves as an indoor exhibition space for APAP7. While various media have identified the artist as Moonki KIM, there was no clear evidence to support this claim. After conducting an investigation, the team came to the conclusion that the sculpture was actually designed by Sechoong KIM. The reasons behind this conclusion include the fact that his piece in Hyehwa-dong Catholic Cathedral titled Last Judgment was created around the same time as the relief sculpture; the fact that the artist had a lifelong relationship with the architect of the Former Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, Kwangno LEE; and the fact that the autobiography of Geunsik PARK, who was managing the relief sculpture project when the building was established, references KIM as the creator of the relief sculpture.
