Briquette 순환
Yoon Jaeil present a new piece of briquettes that have been thrown away because of their lack of usability by adding of pottery techniques. After constant research on glaze and countless baking processes, the artist created his own work of briquettes. The ash of burnt briquettes was glazed in various colors, and after being fired in a kiln for a long time, it became strong enough to connect and pile up parts of it. The briquettes that are connected and piled up in the artist’s shaping language are displayed as works that remind us of forgotten existence, remind us of memories, and arouse curiosity. The space where the works were set up is the outdoor space of the cafe [The Terrace] on the third floor of the Anyang Museum, and it is also a place where visitors who come to see APAP6 and the Anyang Museum often visit for rest.
