For APAP5, Gabriel Sierra installed architectural structures at four locations within and around Anyang Art Park. These structures subtly mark the boundaries of east, west, south, and north, aiming to induce a sensory experience that harmonizes with each site.

By placing his work along everyday routes, the artist sought to create a situation where visitors would encounter the art unconsciously as they moved through the space. His abstract reproductions of "present moments" within the landscape prompt new questions about how we perceive reality in our daily lives.

The subtitle, "to affect reality," suggests how our perception shifts when an unfamiliar element enters a familiar environment. This unfamiliar element could be the artist's installation or even the artist himself.

Sierra's characteristic witty sensibility, imbued with humor and paradox, is also present in the work. He focused on how meanings change and overlap when different languages intermingle within a single conversation, visually embodying that very sensation.
