Installed at the Samseongsan Mountain Trail in the Anyang Art Park, Secret Forest by NEXT architects has been designed based on the understanding and research of the topography and surrounding environment of the installation site. The work functions as a symbolic device for crossing into an imaginary space, in addition to serving as a path or a bridge that connects two different spaces. The structure, which encloses a part of the forest, creates a new perspective for appreciating the landscape. Through this work, pedestrians can walk up and down a spiral pathway and experience a frame that changes from moment to moment as their bodies move. At each moment, as visitors imagine what will appear next, the everyday landscape suddenly becomes unfamiliar, causing their perceptions about other beings to rapidly change.
