Jongtaek WOO’s Reflected Landscape provides an implicit glimpse into his view of art, which seeks to explore the essence of nature through reflective thinking. The flexible form of the sculpture, reminiscent of flowing water, seems to render the improvisational and expressive “strokes” found in his paintings in three dimensions. The smoothly polished stainless steel reflects the surrounding landscape, while the irregular and curved surface creates a distorted image, blurring the boundary between reality and the imagination.
