![]() If a traditional pavilion is an external-oriented space from which to view the surrounding scene, Open Pavilion, where people sit aroundgaze into the center of the space, is an internal-oriented space playing the role of public living room.
A pavilion with new meaning that can be used as a rest area as well as a space for a variety of meetings. Open Pavilion is comprised of permanent steel structures replaceable hammocks connecting them. Shaped like a nest, the structures were completed with steel pipes connected by fastening hooks, an awning was installed at the upper part of the structures to block sunlightrain. Hammocks in nylon materials are intended for visitors to take a seathave a rest. It designed as a public space, the architect wanted to a space conducive for forming intimate social relationships serving as a public living room.&rdquo In his previous works, the architect also introduced other interesting concepts for pavilions, such as Ring Dome, which is constructed with hula-hoops, Air Forrest.
